Deputy Chief Anthony Sisco started his Law Enforcement career in January 1999 with the NJ Transit Police Department. He transferred to the Bloomfield Police Department in July 1999 where he was assigned to the Patrol Bureau. He worked all three shifts as an Officer and also was a certified EMT and an EMD/911Dispatcher. Sisco was promoted to Sergeant in 2008 and was assigned to Patrol and worked the day and afternoon shifts.
In 2012, he was designated as the Training Sergeant where he was responsible for training new recruits in the Police Academy and for conducting in-service training for all members of the Bloomfield Police Department.In 2014 he was promoted to Lieutenant and continued to oversee the Training Division and was then promoted to Captain in 2019. Sisco was promoted to Deputy Chief of Police in May 2023 and supervises the Office of Support Services which consists of Detective Bureau/Youth Aid Unit, Administration Bureau, Internal Affairs Division, Training Division and Emergency Response Team.
Sisco is Commander of Bloomfield Police ERT/SWAT Team and currently oversees the 14-man team. The team is responsible for executing high risk search warrants, barricaded suspects and specialized weapons training. The team also trains all Bloomfield Police personnel in Active Shooter Training annually. He is a New Jersey Police Training Commission (NJPTC) Certified Range Master and is a Firearms, Rifle, Taser and OC Instructor.
